SCI 100 Study Abroad
Students study on-site biodiversity and ecotourism. The course is designed to explore the various ecosystems, flora and fauna, and cultural sites of a region following an planned itinerary. The course is intended for any student curious about travel, biodiversity, and scientific exploration.

SCI 100: SCUBA Certification and Coral Reef Conservation
This year's study abroad course provides students the opportunity to earn or increase their SCUBA certification from world renowned PADI dive instructors on location in Belize, participate in coral reef conservation projects, while earning a college science credit towards graduation.
First time divers will complete an e-learning program prior to departure and then perform their check-out dives in the tropical waters of Sapodilla Caye Marine Park located along the coral reef of Belize. The non-profit organization Reef Conservation International http://reefci.com/ will provide housing, food, dive instructors and gear for the 5 days we are on the island, Tom Owen's Caye. Students and faculty will stay in Placencia on the adjacent weekends.
